How Many Texts Are Too Many?

text

The picture above will be a familiar sight to many people. It is the start of one of many text messages that a teen might send in one day. Text messages are a faster and silent way of communication. Studies have shown that most peers have widely used text messages to communicate with their friends. Not all people enjoy texting, and some find it inconveniencing since you have to type every letter in the message to convert your thoughts into a written language. Phone calls seem to be a faster way of communication among older generations since texting may appear to be too new for some. Young people often prefer texts as a faster way of communication, and they can discuss their secrets too without anyone listening to them. Arguments come up, though, when people can’t decide how many texts are too many.

Sending a text message depends on the person you are talking to and the topic under discussion. The way you text your closest friend may not be the same way you will talk to your parents or relatives. You will also communicate in a different way if it is somebody of a higher status or age group. Text messages are considered to be too many, especially when you are communicating with an older person. To an extent, twenty text messages can be considered too many texts in one day. Know when you have reached your max and do not go over that. Texting too much can become a bad habit for too many teens.
