Stress-Reduction Techniques

img_0460

Relax, some stress is normal and even useful. Stress is what you feel when you have to handle more than you are used to. But if stress happens too often or lasts too long, it can have bad effects. One way to help cope is to find out what is causing stress in your life.  Look for ways to reduce the amount of stress in your life. Sometimes it is clear where stress is coming from. You can count on stress during a major life change such as the death of a loved one. But other times it may not be so clear why you feel stressed.

It’s important to figure out what causes stress for you. Everyone feels and responds to stress differently. I’m going to give a couple of ways you can become less stressed out in your life. One is to meditate, so take time sit down for a moment and think about positive things in your life. Reach out to others, and remember that social media can be a strong tool in talking to many different people. You can then share your thoughts, and you can get a fresh perspective while keeping your connection strong. The picture above is a stress relief candle bought from bath & body works; it has a nice relaxing smell.  Small ideas like these can help you to feel less stressed out during your day.
