The Sea of Unknown Faces

You wake up one day from being the oldest kid in middle school and realize that you are now the youngest kid in high school. You think to yourself will there be more work? Is there going to be more stress? It’s fine to have thoughts like these because everyone has them. A lot of freshmen are coming into a new world.

You might wonder to yourself how are you going to make new friends? There are so many upperclassmen that you do not know, and you might think it’s like a sea of unknown faces. “I was afraid of the way the upperclassmen would treat me.”- Elijah Saldana. This quote is from a freshman, pictured above, who was afraid to come to high school. He has heard rumors and stories of what the upperclassmen would do to the freshmen, but none of these allegations are true. So, if you are in junior high and and reading┬áthis, then you have nothing to worry about. You will make new friends, and the upperclassmen will not do anything…they’re all rumors.
