Does Buying and Accumulating More and More Stuff Make Us Happier?

img_3695

Many people love to buy different things. For example, tech gadgets, clothing, sneakers, jewelry, you name it. We love to accumulate what we buy too, so it overflows our rooms, closets, garages, basements and yards. And then, we throw some of it away and buy more. But after some point, does all this buying and accumulating of stuff truly make us happier? Or does it ever complicate our lives unnecessarily and distract us from what is most important? Instead of making us happier, getting more stuff drags us down.

When life gets hard, different items seem like something good to have until the storm passes. Money doesn’t buy happiness, but what you do with money can possibly bring you happiness. You can only be happy for so long when buying things. In life, you will find happiness, but don’t always think that you will be happy with buying things. Additionally, it surely also depends on how often you remind yourself to enjoy something you’ve been given or purchased yourself. Don’t worry be happy!
