Not many people in today’s youth are familiar with older TV shows, although some teachers and parents are sure to remember plenty. One of these shows that many will most likely remember is Hogan’s Heroes.

Hogan’s Heroes ran on CBS from 1965-1971, going through 6 seasons. The show was about a prisoner of war camp in Germany during World War II, where the inmates, lead by Col. Hogan, conduct espionage and sabotage crusades without their guards knowing. Col. Klink and Sgt. Schultz, the main two in charge of the prisoners, found out the group’s plans more than once and were often in a frenzy to hide it from their superiors. The cast for the show included Bob Crane, Werner Klemperer, John Banner, Robert Clary, and Richard Dawson.

History teacher Mr. Wenzinger, who is pictured above, believes that the show is very funny and that it showed a different perspective of World War II.
