Florida State University

College can be extremely stressful and tiring. However, going to your dream college can make your college experience more enjoyable. My dream college is Florida State University. The biggest reason for choosing Florida State is the gorgeous campus and weather. The average temperature in Florida, in the winter months, is 65 degrees. Temperatures become a lot higher in the summer months ranging from 75 to 90 degrees. Lily Kamphaus, pictured above, said that she would love going to Florida State University because of the warm weather. Since the weather is so favorable, Florida State University has an outdoor swimming pool. The Findlay swim team takes a trip to the university in the winter to practice in their swimming pool.

Florida State University sits on 476 acres in Tallahassee, Florida. Florida State University provides many programs that allow students to study abroad. They have centers in Italy, London, Panama, and Spain. At the entrance of the campus rests a huge fountain with a plaque below that reads  “The Florida State University.” The football stadium, Doak Campbell Stadium, is located on campus and is the home venue for football games. The Seminoles went 10-2 during their last football season. Due to the nice weather in Florida, the plant life around campus is always blooming. The university has a medicinal herbal garden were they grow herbs to use in other studies. The campus also has many 15-18 feet tall palm trees and fruit trees that grow oranges. All this plant life gives the campus a vibrant look.
