University of Kentucky
Many people have a dream college that they would love to go to, but cannot because it’s too expensive, or the college is very particular with acceptance, or it is too far from home. One of these colleges is the University of Kentucky, which is located in Lexington, Kentucky. Pictured above is Lexington close up on a map. For someone living out of state, the total cost of attending UK (including tuition, room & board, books & supplies, and other expenses) is $39,646, compared to the in-state cost of $24,810. As an overall admission rate, 89% of 18,725 students who applied for the fall semester were admitted.
The University of Kentucky offers many different sports and activities that students can participate in. There are 13 different intercollegiate sports offered, including football, basketball, soccer, swimming and diving, and tennis. Also offered are 16 intramural sports, which include rugby, lacrosse, archery, fencing, and table tennis. As far as student activities and organizations, there are many different band and choral groups and ensembles that can be participated in, along with student government, student newspaper, and yearbook. Like many other colleges, UK also has sororities, fraternities, Army ROTC, and Air Force ROTC.
There are many different aspects to look at when choosing a college, and, hopefully, this has helped you think about if Kentucky is a good school for you.
