So Many Soups

Winter is now here, and a good way to keep warm is with a hot bowl of soup. There are many places here in town that sell soup! Viking Conner usually has a special soup of the day in winter. Some of their soups are chicken rice, beef barley, chili, potato, vegetable beef, and beef noodle. You’ll have to check the sign out front of Viking Conner for their special soup of the day because it changes often. Uptown Market also sells a chicken noodle soup and also has a soup of the day. Sometimes even Subway has a soup of the day.

You don’t have to go out to have a great bowl of soup. You can make your own soup at home. Many people enjoy cooking soup in their crock-pots because they can let it cook all day and it is very easy. The picture above is of vegetable beef soup that was made in a crock-pot. Progresso soup sells many different canned soups that are low in calories if you’re looking for a healthy alternative. Also, Campbell Soup sells little bowls of soup with lids that only take a couple minutes in the microwave. Brynna Schroeder says at her house she makes homemade pizza soup. She says it is a tomato based soup with pepperoni, sausage, peppers, tomatoes, and anything else you like on your pizza. What’s your favorite soup?
