Have You Tried….Yoga
Yoga? Yoga is a great way to stay in shape and stay healthy! Yoga is a series of poses that help strengthen your muscles and help you become more flexible. Yoga is also to be said to be very relaxing and can also be a form of meditation. Some places offer yoga as a class! Peak in Ottawa offers free classes for members at their gym. There are also many different types of yoga. Some yoga classes have soothing and calm music while others have more of an up beat tune playing during class! The only thing you really need to join a class is a yoga mat, comfortable clothes, and perhaps a water bottle. The picture above is of a yoga mat that would be perfect to use in a yoga class.
If you do not want to join a class, you could also order a yoga DVD and do it at home. Jillian Michaels has a great workout video, but it’s a little more advanced. There are also many beginner DVD’s that you could try first. Also, YouTube has many videos you could try if you don’t want to buy a DVD.There are many different videos, so it is likely one version will fit what you’re looking for. There are also many poses and guides for yoga on Pinterest for you to follow. What is your favorite yoga pose?
