Ways to Be Healthy


Too often, eating well and exercising is something we do for a few days or a couple of weeks before going back to old, poor health habits. It can be hard to stay motivated enough to workout at least every other day and always eat a healthy meal. Here are some ways that you can eat better and have a healthier life style. You need to make sure to have at least two different colors on your plate when you eat. If not, you will not meet your nutrition requirements each day. Sharing a meal with family and friends can impact your health by how you age when growing older. Make sure to get enough vegetables now and then. You don’t need to go on an extreme diet to stay HEALTHY.

The second best way to stay in tip top shape is by exercising. If you can give many hours a week watching your favorite TV show, then you can give at least 2-3 hours a week toward exercise to keep yourself in good shape and health. Exercising not only makes you feel more healthy but it also helps reduce stress that may be going on in your life. You could always choose to go for a nice run/walk, lift weights at a local gym, join a Zumba class, or even attend a yoga session. Pictured above is Kierra Meyer showing her favorite yoga pose. No matter which type of exercise you feel is right for you, it’s best to just get out there and do it. Always remember that fitness is not about being better than someone else, it’s about being better than you used to be.
