Super Nintendo World

In theme parks, it is common to have multiple parks within the main park. An example of this is how there are Epcot, Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, and Disney’s Hollywood Studios in Disney World, along with two water parks. Disney, Universal, and many other theme parks are always adding new areas to their theme parks, such as how Universal added The Wizarding World of Harry Potter a few years ago. It now turns out that Harry Potter will have to move over for Universal’s next big thing- Super Nintendo World.

Not a lot is known about Super Nintendo World at this time, although there are a few details that have leaked. The company is aiming to open the first one in time for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, with the first Super Nintendo World being in the Japan Studios. Super Nintendo World will be making its way into the Hollywood, Orlando, and Singapore locations over the following years. It will be essentially identical in each of the Universal Studios, with each having a few tweaks of their own. Characters from the “Super Mario” series will be the primary characters featured in the park. There are currently two ride patents that they have filed, one sounding like it is meant to be based off of Mario Kart (case pictured above), and the other seems to be like the mine carts from Donkey Kong Country.
