They danced all night to the best song ever. Many Leipsic students had a great time at homecoming this year! They started homecoming week with dressing up with the themes every day and then played He-man on Tuesday night. The Senior team won the He-man match. On Friday, they had a great pep rally to get pumped up for the game that night. The Senior team that won on Tuesday night defeated the teachers at the pep rally during the day on Friday.
That night at the football game the student section theme was spirit out. They had a great turn out the night of the game and many came before the game to watch the crowning of the homecoming king and queen. Brooke Gerdeman was crowned queen, and Hunter Meyer was crowned king. The picture above is of them getting crowned at the game. The Vikings had a great game, even with all the rain that started during the second quarter of the game.Hunter Meyer says his team really worked well together that Friday night, and they had fun too. He was really happy to see the all the fans even though it was raining. The Vikings defeated the Chieftains 16-8.
The next morning the fall festival parade was canceled. Many of the students were disappointing that the parade was canceled but didn’t let it ruin their homecoming. As the day went on, the rain let up and eventually stopped. By the time people wanted to take pictures, the rain was all gone. Many students thought the homecoming dance went great Many said they really enjoyed the DJ’s music this year. Not everyone enjoyed dancing, but they liked that they could watch the Buckeye game on the TVs in the cafeteria. What was your favorite part of homecoming?
